A plain-language summary for businesses that embed our calculators. Last updated September 30, 2026. Our Privacy Policy and Terms are the governing documents; this page explains how they work in practice.
What we store
- Your account: email, business name, business type (optional), the calculators and website domains you register, your branding (logo, colors, disclaimer text), and any integration settings you add.
- Your leads: when a visitor submits the form on your embedded calculator, we store their name, email, optional phone number, the values they entered, the results, the website they were on, and the time.
- Usage counts: how many leads your account receives each month, for plan limits.
Where a lead goes
Nothing is sent while a visitor just uses the calculator. When they choose to submit the form, the lead is saved in your dashboard and emailed to you with a PDF copy of their results. If you have connected a webhook or HubSpot, it is also sent there. The visitor is not emailed by us. We do not use leads for our own marketing, sell them, or show them to other businesses.
What you are responsible for
- You decide why you collect a visitor's details and how you use them afterwards. Give visitors your own privacy notice. The disclaimer field on your Branding page can hold a short notice and a link to your privacy policy.
- Follow the privacy, email, and marketing laws that apply to you, including getting any consent you need before sending marketing messages.
- Handle visitors' requests to see, correct, or delete their information. If someone contacts us, we will pass the request on to you.
- Do not present calculator results as personalized financial, tax, or legal advice.
How the embed is protected
- The embed only works on the website domains you have registered, and it is checked again when a lead is submitted.
- Submissions are rate-limited to reduce spam that would use up your lead allowance.
- Database access rules keep each account limited to its own data.
- Connections are encrypted with HTTPS.
- The embedded calculator does not load advertising or third-party analytics such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, or Microsoft Clarity.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. That permanently deletes your leads, calculators, domains, branding, and integration settings. We keep one limited record of the deleted account (email, business name and type, plan, and leads used that month) to enforce plan limits, recognize repeat sign-ups, and occasionally contact you about the service. Email contact@wearecalculator.com to ask us to delete or limit that record; we may keep only the minimum needed to apply plan limits.
Who else handles the data
We use Supabase for our database and account sign-in, and Hostinger for hosting and email delivery. HubSpot or your own webhook receives data only if you connect it.
