Getting started
What is We Are Calculator for Business?
It puts one of our financial calculators on your website, in your branding. When a visitor finishes a calculation and submits their details, we send that lead — with everything they entered and their results — to you: your inbox, your dashboard, and the tools you already use. We're the bridge between your website and your CRM, not another system to log into.
How long does setup take?
Usually 10–15 minutes: sign up, add your website under Domains, pick a calculator, set your logo and colors under Branding, then paste one embed code into your site.
Do I need a developer?
No. If your website lets you paste HTML (most do), you can add the calculator yourself. The install panel has step-by-step guides for WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify and plain HTML.
Is it free?
Yes. The Free plan includes one live calculator, one website and 10 leads per month, with no card required. Paid plans aren't available yet; we'll give notice before anything changes and you'll never be charged unless you choose a paid plan.
Installing the calculator
Where do I get the embed code?
Dashboard → Calculators → choose your live calculator → Install. Copy the code and paste it where you want the calculator to appear. The panel also shows a branded preview and tells you once it's detected live on your site.
The calculator doesn't show on my site. What should I check?
1) The website address in Domains must match the site where you pasted the code. 2) The calculator must be switched on under Calculators. 3) Some page builders need the code in an "HTML" or "Embed" block, not a text block. 4) Clear your site's cache and reload. If it still doesn't load, email us the page address and we'll look.
Does it work on Wix or GoDaddy Website Builder?
Not yet. Those builders load custom code from a different address than your website, which our domain protection blocks. Email us if you're on Wix or GoDaddy and we'll help you find a way.
Can I use it on more than one website?
The Free plan includes one website. Each calculator only runs on websites registered in your Domains page, so your embed can't be copied onto someone else's site.
Can I change how it looks and what the form says?
Yes. Branding lets you set your logo, colors, disclaimer text, the form heading and button text, whether phone is optional, required or hidden, the thank-you message, and an optional booking link. The calculations themselves stay the same — they're checked against official sources.
Can I track it in Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager?
Yes. The embed sends four events to your page: wac_calculator_view, wac_calculator_started, wac_lead_submitted and wac_pdf_downloaded. They arrive in your dataLayer (GTM) and gtag (GA4) automatically. No visitor details are included. If you installed before October 20, 2026, copy the embed code again to get them.
Leads
What counts as a lead?
A real visitor who submits the form under your calculator with a working email address. Each email counts once per calendar month, bots and junk are filtered out before they reach you, and you can report a lead that isn't real.
Where do my leads go?
Every lead is saved in your dashboard and emailed to you with a PDF of their results. You can also send it to extra people or your CRM's lead-import address (Settings → Notifications), and to a webhook, HubSpot or Zapier (Integrations).
How quickly do I get a lead?
Within seconds of the visitor submitting the form.
What if a lead doesn't reach my CRM or webhook?
The lead is always safe in your dashboard. We retry automatically after 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours and 12 hours. Each lead shows its delivery status per destination, and you can click Resend once the problem is fixed. If every retry fails we email you (you can turn that alert off in Settings → Notifications).
How do I report a junk or fake lead?
Open the lead and click "Report as invalid lead" within 30 days. We review it, and if it isn't a real person it won't count toward your plan.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
Visitors can still use your calculator, but the form stops accepting new details until the 1st of next month and shows a message asking them to contact you directly. We email you at 80% and at 100% so it doesn't surprise you.
Can I export my leads?
Yes. Leads → Export CSV downloads a file with every detail, including inputs, results, website, consent record and delivery status.
Integrations
Which tools can my leads go to?
Built in: email (to you and up to 5 more addresses), HubSpot, any webhook, and Zapier. Through Zapier you can reach thousands of apps, including Salesforce, Google Sheets, Slack and Follow Up Boss.
How do I connect HubSpot?
Integrations → HubSpot → Connect with HubSpot, then approve access. Each lead becomes a HubSpot Contact (matched by email, so repeat visitors aren't duplicated).
How do I connect Zapier?
Integrations → Zapier → Connect Zapier to create your API key (shown once — copy it). In Zapier, choose We Are Calculator, pick the New Lead trigger and paste the key. Using Google Sheets? Add column headers in row 1 of your sheet first, so Zapier can map the fields.
My CRM isn't listed. Can I still get leads into it?
Usually yes, two ways. 1) Many mortgage and real-estate CRMs (Jungo, BNTouch, Shape, Follow Up Boss and others) give you a lead-import email address: add it in Settings → Notifications as a "CRM import" address and we'll send leads in a plain format your CRM can read. Use the Test button to set up your CRM's import. 2) Use Zapier.
Do you integrate with Salesforce?
Yes, through Zapier (New Lead → Salesforce: Create Lead).
How do I verify webhook requests?
Every webhook request includes an X-WAC-Signature header: an HMAC-SHA256 of the request body using the signing secret shown on the Integrations page. Compute the same on your side and compare.
Notifications
Can other people on my team get the lead emails?
Yes. Settings → Notifications → Who gets your leads. Add up to 5 extra addresses as "Person" (they get the same email and PDF) or "CRM import".
Which emails can I turn off?
Delivery problem alerts, lead limit warnings, the Monday weekly summary and product updates (off unless you turn it on). Lead emails, sign-in, billing and legal notices are always sent because they're needed to run your account.
How do I change the email address that receives leads?
Dashboard → Branding → Contact email.
Privacy, security and compliance
Who owns the leads?
You do. We process visitor details only to deliver them to you and run the service, and we never sell them or use them to market to your visitors.
Do you email my visitors?
No. Only you (and the addresses you add) receive lead emails.
Is consent recorded?
Yes. Each lead stores the exact consent wording the visitor saw (including your disclaimer), its version, and the time. You can see it on the lead and in your CSV export. You're responsible for following the marketing and privacy laws that apply to your follow-up.
Is the calculator accessible?
We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard support, screen-reader labels, announced results and errors, and mobile reflow. A VPAT is available on request.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Settings → Account → Delete account permanently deletes your leads and settings.
Plans and billing
How will paid plans work?
Paid plans will be priced around how many leads you need each month. Final pricing isn't published yet. You won't be charged anything unless you choose a paid plan.
Where can I see how many leads I've used?
In the sidebar (Leads this month) and on the Billing page.
Still have a question?
Tell us what you're trying to do, and the page address if it's about your embed. A real person will get back to you.
